About the event

There is a renewed push to save the Haʻikū Stairs in Kāneʻohe, Windward Oʻahu after the city hired a contractor to remove them. The stairs, commonly referred to as Stairway to Heaven, go up the side of the Koʻolau Mountains. There is no legal public access to the stairs from the Windward side but that has not stopped hikers from traversing the trail prompting complaints from area residents about noise, trespassing and trash left behind. Join this LIVE interactive broadcast from PBS Hawaiʻi on your TV or through their livestream.

Individuals can email questions ahead of time to insights@pbshawaii.org.

During the broadcast, individuals may join in on the live discussion through email, on social media (Facebook), or by phone.
