You’re invited to march with us in the Kāneʻohe Christmas Parade!

Our goal is to show the community that it’s not just tourists and thrill-seekers, but an active group of resident hikers and nature and history enthusiasts who support saving the Stairway to Heaven for current and future generations.

Additionally, the parade shares a date with National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. This infamous event served as a catalyst for the proposal to build a pioneering radio communications system atop Ha‘ikū Valley — one that could transmit low frequency messages to submarines as far away as Tokyo. In order to build the facility, the Navy had to find a way to send men to the top of cliffs ranging between 1,800 and 2,850 feet.
