Farmers Market Lead

We are looking to hire a friendly and driven individual for our Farmers Market Lead. This position calls for the set-up and management of an FHS booth at one farmers market a month. The individual will be there to relate relevant information about the Stairs and FHS, give updates on our progress, and sell merchandise as part of our fundraiser. This position works directly with the community and requires individuals to communicate in an effective and open way with many different types of people.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Supports the FHS mission

  • Friendly and open attitude

  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • Able to multitask

  • Able to lift and carry 30-40 pounds

  • Able to work in hot/humid conditions for 4-5 hours

  • Has access to a vehicle large enough to fit a tent, table, and merchandise boxes

 

Location: Locations vary, but focus primarily on the Windward and Kailua side.

Hours: 5hrs at one farmers market a week -- 20hrs/month.

Duration: The position would start ASAP and end after a three month period with the opportunity to renew/revise the contract.

Compensation: $500/month
